Overview
Idaho work ranges from the growing Treasure Valley around Boise and Meridian to rural communities along the Snake River plain, and up into the rugged mountains of central and northern Idaho. Mountaintop communications sites are a big part of the state's network.
Climate & Seasonal Conditions
Winters bring heavy snow at elevation and can close mountain roads and shut the access window for high sites. Summer is dry, and wildfire smoke and fire activity can restrict access across forested areas. Cold ground and deep frost affect foundation and concrete scheduling in the valleys, while basalt and rocky terrain in places makes excavation harder.
Typical Work in Idaho
- Mountaintop and ridge-line site work planned around snow-free access windows
- Antenna and 5G equipment installs in the Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Idaho Falls areas
- Foundation and concrete work scheduled around frost depth and cold-weather cure
- Fire-season access planning and post-fire inspection or repair
- Maintenance and decommissioning on rural and backcountry sites
