Overview
With two large metros on opposite sides of the state, Missouri also has the Ozark hills in the south and open farmland across the north and west. That mix gives us urban upgrade work as well as rural and rocky-terrain construction.
Climate & Seasonal Conditions
Missouri takes repeated severe weather, including spring tornadoes, damaging hail and heavy thunderstorms, and winter ice storms that load steel and guys. The Mississippi and Missouri rivers can flood lowland sites and cut off roads. In the Ozarks, thin soil over limestone and chert makes foundation excavation harder than in the glacial plains of the north.
Typical Work in Missouri
- Foundation work in Ozark rock, where drilling and blasting decisions affect the schedule
- Tornado, hail and straight-line wind damage assessment and repair
- Ice storm inspections on guyed towers and rural structures
- Equipment installs in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas
- Flood-affected compound repair and access restoration along river bottoms
